Big Bang’s Taeyang has announced Big Bang’s comeback, showing off his masculinity.

On February 15, Big Bang released an album jacket picture of Taeyang after those of T.O.P’s and Daesung’s, ahead of the release of their new mini album on February 29. In the picture, he is showing off his healthy body with his distinctive Mohican hairstyle and his jacket wide open.

Taeyang has a tattoo on his chest and is put on a respirator like T.O.P and Daesung. Along with his charismatic eyes, Taeyang is showing off his winglike tattoo with a phrase that reads, “ALIVE,” which is a title of Big Bang’s fifth mini album.

Taeyang also highlights his sexy look in a boxy jacket, paired with a cross on a chain.

Big Bang are coming back with a new mini album on February 29. Starting with a TV commercial, which will start airing on February 17, they are going to keep making an announcement of their comeback. They are also planning to provide various kinds of information about their comeback through smartphone applications like Naver Music.

Big Bang are holding an exclusive concert from March 2 to 4 at the Gymnastics Stadium in Olympic Park. And then, they will hold a world tour in 25 cities in 16 countries under the title of “Big Bang Alive Tour 2012.”

Big Bang’s coming back with new striking images!: T.O.P with sky-blue hair

Big Bang has released their new striking images and announced their comeback to the music scene.

Having recently confirmed the date for the release of their new mini album to be February 29, Big Bang’s agency released T.O.P’s photo for the new album on February 6 at 10 a.m. Starting with T.O.P’s photo, there will be other members’ photos released one by one.

In the photo, released on YG Entertainment’s official blog, T.O.P is showing his charismatic look with sky-blue hair. His hair color has changed again since the white hair he showed for his duet album with G-Dragon.

Dressed in a black leather jacket and black leather pants, and wearing a respirator, he is staring at the camera with fierce eyes.

At the top of the photo, Big Bang’s new logo, “ALIVE ? BIG BANG- FANTASTIC BABY,” is added.

On January 26, Big Bang has unveiled titles, lyric writers, and composers of the tracks: #1 “Intro,”#2 “Blue,” #3 “Love Dust,” #4 “Bad Boy,” #5 “It’s Not Fun,” #6 “Fantastic Baby.” G-Dragon has written lyrics to the songs and co-composed them with other producers.

Big Bang is releasing their new mini album on February 29 and start performing and promoting through TV programs and concerts.

Big Bang’s Daesung returns with an eye-catching look

Big Bang’s Daesung recently dyed his hair blond prior to the group’s return.

On February 14, Big Bang’s agency, YG Entertainment, made people eagerly anticipate the group’s return by releasing a picture of Daesung on their official blog and Naver.

In the picture, Daesung is wearing an oxygen mask while posing for the camera. People are saying that he has transformed himself in a most magnificent way after his debut by dying his hair blond.

A picture of T.O.P, which was previously released, also drew a lot of attention. His sky blue hair and Daesung’s blond hair make people eagerly anticipate seeing G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Seungri’s new style.

The green logo, ‘Alive Big Bang- Wings’ means Daesung’s solo. His solo, “Wings” will be included in the group’s new album. The song was written by G-Dragon and songwriter Choi Pil Gang. Daesung also helped to write the lyrics for the song.

The agency says, “Big Bang members will be transformed into totally different people through their new album and will have a new start. Expect to see pictures of the rest of group members soon.”

Big Bang released the titles of their new songs and songwriters on January 26: 1. Intro 2. Blue 3. Love Dirt 4. Bad Boy 5. It’s Not Funny 6. Fantastic Baby 7. Wings. The songs were written by G-Dragon and other producers.

Big Bang’s Seungri shows off his upper body, “Bad boy?”

Big Bang recently released a picture of Seungri prior to their new album release.

On February 16, the pictures were posted on YG Entertainment’s official blog and Naver. In the pictures, Seungri is showing off his masculinity.

Unconventional pictures of T.O.P, Daesung, and Taeyang were previously released. Seungri is also following them as a manly man with the concept of ‘Bad Boy.’

He bandaged both his hands and is making a powerful and charismatic face. The cute and witty boy has done a complete one-eighty for the group’s new mini album.

Since Seungri has changed a lot and one of the group’s single is titled “Bad Boy,” many people are eagerly anticipating their manly performance.

A spokesperson for the agency says, “Big Bang members will show off a variety of charms through the album. They are doing their best to give their fans their love.”

Big Bang’s TV commercial, ‘Big Bang is Back @ Naver Music’ will air starting on February 17 and their fifth mini album Alive will be released on February 29.

In preparation for Big Bang's 5th mini album release, they released a preview for their new song "Blue". YG Entertainment via Naver Music revealed a 30 seconds audio preview for their song "Blue" giving fans a hint on what the song sounds like and the lyrics.

Also, Big Bang's 5th mini album is scheduled to be released on the 29th of February, however YG entertainment decided to release one of the title tracks "Blue" on the 22nd of February ahead of the scheduled album release.

The release of the song "Blue" will be a preview to what big bang's 5th mini album will be like when it will be released 5 days later. Meanwhile, YG entertainment revealed that big bang will be promoting all 6 new songs from their mini album.

G-Dragon interview on Naver

Interviewer: It has been a long time. How have you been?
GD: I've been fine. I spent my time with my family. Prepared for this album and spent some time thinking this and that.

I: What is your thought about singers? I wonder, what do you think about your figure?
GD: Well, when I was a young boy, I thought singers are cool. That's why I wanted to be a singer in my early years. I think Bigbang is cool. Not being on the stage, but also in real life. I don't mean that they are handsome and tall. I mean they got swag. There are so many things that I have to learn as a friend, a young brother, and an older brother. It makes me a burden because I'm a leader but it also makes me try to push myself.
I: What is your biggest stress/pressure?
GD: Preparing for the next album. It is one of biggest pressure to me because the next album is more important than the last one. When I had to prepare for the last album, 'TONIGHT', I thought "This is the most important album!" When I prepared for this album, I thought "This album is the most important one!" Maybe I will think again the same when I prepare for a new album. It is also one of my pleasant worries. I was pulsating. Well, I don't know. Last year, 'TONIGHT' was my favorite album. And now it's 'BLUE'. My taste in music changes continuously and I share it to people. I wonder what they will say to me after they listen to it and what part they like the most. I'm going well.

I: Bigbang sings mainly about LOVE.
GD: I think many Korean think about love a lot and they want comfort. When you hear music, you think that "Oh this lyrics is what I have in mind." or when you are sad, you hear the music and cry. That's why music is powerful.

I: Tell me about BLUE.
GD: BLUE… Many people think that idol group just have younger fans. But I think more twenties and thirties age group will really like this song. They will sing more and sympathize with this song more than teenagers will.

I: Do you have assurance in this album?
GD: Uh…. Yes. I'm always confident with it. Not boasting. When we hear our music, we said "That's it!" haha. Because it is ours. I pour out my soul and try to be frank. And… it is for the season.

Is Big Bang on the verge of collapse?

With the recent news of Big Bang‘s G-Dragon caught in a legal issue for smoking marijuana, fans can’t help but be worried about Big Bang’s future as they are arguably one of the most successful boy bands in Korea at the moment.  Without a doubt, this is the boys’ most difficult moment in their careers, as now another member of the group is forced to postpone his activities.

Back in May of this year, member Daesung was involved in a car accident which took the life of a man and ultimately had the idol temporarily leaving the music industry.  Now we have G-Dragon who has been arrested for smoking marijuana.  These boys have come a long away starting from their debut years, but 2011 seems to be their worst year.

Many of their future schedules have gone down the drain.  First off, GD&TOP were in plans to release a new single in Japan between November and December, however with the recent incident, it’s unlikely to happen.  Furthermore, G-Dragon was in the process of making a comeback with a new solo, mid October.  All of his comeback plans have been dismissed.

This isn’t the first time the group has had to pause major activities.  Prior to Daesung’s car accident, the group was in preparation for new music and concert releases.  Unfortunately, those plans were trashed when news of the idol’s accident hit media outlets.

It is apparent that Daesung took a huge loss with the unfortunate event.  Even after 5 months, there are no signs of the idol returning to the industry.  Industry Analysts have predicted that G-Dragon might have to take a long break just like his group mate.  Considering how strict the Korean government is in regards to marijuana usage, this prediction is very reasonable.

According to reports, the idol took the drug back in May and after further investigation, a hair drug test came out to be positive in July.  The idol even confessed himself that he smoked marijuana while attending a club in Japan.

On the bright side, because this was G-Dragon’s first offense, the prosecutor will not be giving him a serious charge, which means he will not be officially indicted.  Despite this, the idol has taken a huge loss all because of the usage of marijuana.

The boys’ agency, YG Entertainment is also struggling as Big Bang is their biggest source of income.  According to their annual reports, 27.98% of their total revenue for the first half of the year was from Big Bang’s concerts alone.  If you include their album sales and endorsements, it goes beyond 50% of the total revenue mark.

With the band’s temporary cease of activities, it’s no doubt that the company will have a sharp drop in revenue in the latter half of the year.  Analysts have shared that if G-Dragon gets his name blacklisted from broadcasting companies, it may be the very end of Big Bang.

T.O.P has "1 Million Dollar" legs?

T.O.P’s legs recently earned a nickname "one million dollar legs".

A fan posted a picture of T.O.P on an online community with the comment, “I didn’t know T.O.P has so beautiful legs. I heard that he went to New York to shoot a pictorial. I think this picture was taken in New York. T.O.P has one million dollar legs.”

People responded: “He is so attractive.” “His legs look like number eleven.” “Did you lose some more weight? You look skinny. I think you look better with more muscles.”

Kwon Ji Yong (G-Dragon) helps out little Kwon Ji Yong

Big Bang‘s G-Dragon made a surprise visit to encourage a 4 year old patient who happens to share the same name (Kwon Ji Yong), earning himself the “Wings of Hope” badge.

Little Kwon Ji Yong has a rare form of hypoglycemia, which means he has very low levels of blood glucose.

His family stated that he needed to take medicine everyday, but the insurance didn’t cover the costs, so they had to pay roughly $2,000 every month. Since the family didn’t make enough money to afford this expensive medicine, they were extremely worried. Luckily, Big Bang fans (VIP GD supporters) have donated the needed money to help with their financial needs.

Since 2009, gd-supporters.com have donated money every month to help not only little Ji Yong, but also a little girl with Chronic kidney disease, and also a male patient suffering from the genetic bone disorder, Osteogenesis Imperfecta.

On September 5th, G-Dragon took the time out of busy scheduled to visit little Ji Yong. There was some good news as little Ji Yong reduced his medicine dosage by 1/3rd. G-Dragon also brought toys and became close to Ji Yong while helping to assemble the toys.

G-Dragon himself personally donated $47,000 to help these children suffering with these rare diseases.

It’s heart warming to hear stories like this and G-Dragon has set a good example for others to follow.
